The Amero: The Dollarization of Canada and Mexico?

A close friend recently told me how rumors had been circulating on the theory that the American dollar will no longer be worth anything in the near future, perhaps 2010. She went on to explain that America, Canada, and Mexico would be merging their currency and creating what’s called: The Amero. So, I decided to investigate, cause I aint got no gold!

The North American Union is a supranational organization, modeled on the European Union, that will soon fuse Canada, the United States, and Mexico into a single economic and political unit. The details are still being worked out by the countries' leaders, but the NAU's central governing body will have the power to nullify the laws of its member states. Goods and people will flow among the three countries unimpeded, aided by a network of continent-girdling superhighways. The US and Canadian dollars, along with the peso, will be phased out and replaced by a common North American currency called the amero(http://www.iht.com/articles/2007/11/25/america/25Amero.php)

Thus, the government is either good at keeping yet another secret from the people or the NAU is a figment of our imagination and motivates no concern for ill intentions.

* Lou Dobbs is known for highlighting and obsessing over issues of immigration.

This moment can be termed, The Dollarization of Canada and Mexico. But how would this help Canada, Mexico, and the United States: Canada – Would save up to $3 billion in currency transactions and Canada's GDP could rise by up to 33 percent in a 20-year period given the adoption of a single currency. United States – A unified currency under the domination of the USA would illustrate another palpable form of control by American powers.

"The adoption of the amero could threaten the seignorage that America currently gains from its American dollar. While seignorage would still be gained from the amero, this would be shared among the Bank of Canada, the Federal Reserve, and possibly the Banco de México. Therefore, even if the amero were used just as much as the U.S. dollar, the advantages would be shared among two or more countries, and not exclusively earned by the United States" (http://www.anomalies.net/object/amero.html).

Moreover, there are very different economic situations happening within each of these countries, which could bring some countries down or up, complicating the economic future for all the countries involved.

Article 1, Section 8 of the constitution marks this act unconstitutional anyways, but we shall see what the future holds. As we have seen before, many things have been labeled unconstitutional, i.e. discrimination, and that hasn't stopped the privileged yet.

Gold Predictions: So, with the condition of our economic state, what should we be investing in and how should we be learning from history?

So, not even Obama can save us huh? CASH IS TRASH!! lol

What's the reality?...invest in Silver or perhaps just move to Mars
