In the wake of many events around the world that affect Black people, I have to ask myself, what’s going on? Black people all across the world continue to face the most turmoil and tribulation, despite the “progress” we have made.
What is to be said of mans original inhabitance? It is as if we have ALL forgotten where we have orginally came from, in order to find what we have never known. Even Mama Africa left us behind for a better tomorrow. As we move towards a “hopeful” future, I encourage you to help bring change within your communities in order to transform change EVERYWHERE.
Let’s think about Darfur:
What –The War in Darfur is a genocide. Sudan's government has "orchestrated and participated in" war crimes and crimes against humanity in Darfur.
Where - The war is a conflict in the Darfur region of western Sudan.
When - Since 2003, the region has been in a state of humanitarian emergency.
Why - A rebellion started in 2003 against the Arab-dominated Sudanese government, with two local rebel groups - the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) and the Sudanese Liberation Army (SLA) - accusing the government of oppressing non-Arabs in favor of Arabs. The government was also accused of neglecting the Darfur region of Sudan. In response, the government mounted a campaign of aerial bombardment supporting ground attacks by an Arab militia, the Janjaweed. The government-supported Janjaweed were accused of committing major human rights violations, including mass killing, looting, and systematic rape of the non-Arab population of Darfur. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum estimates that 100,000 have died each year because of government attacks.
How - Gérard Prunier, a scholar specializing in African conflicts, argues that the world's most powerful countries have largely limited their response to expressions of concern and demands that the United Nations take action. The UN, lacking both the funding and military support of the wealthy countries, has left the African Union to deploy a token force (AMIS) without a mandate to protect civilians. The lack of foreign political will to address the political and economic structures that underlie the conflict labels this atrocity, genocide.

What is the United States doing to assit? Nothing
Most of White America did not care about us then and they certainltly do not care about us now. Furthermore, most do not even know what Darfur is.
I recommend you read, The Lost Boys of Sudan.
How YOU CAN HELP
What’s the Reality?...I hope this issue is on President Obama’s agenda.
